This volume examines complexity not as an abstract idea, but as an engineering reality that can be measured, analyzed, and managed.

The book addresses complexity growth, interface expansion, requirements discipline, verification, optimization, statistical quality, simulation, virtual models, and the challenge of maintaining control as engineered systems scale.

It draws heavily on practical experience from complex automotive systems while presenting a broader framework applicable to engineering, technology development, and organizational decision-making.
